Responsible Gambling

Responsible gambling occurs in a regulated environment where the potential for harm associated with gambling is minimised and people make informed decisions about their participation in gambling. Responsible gambling occurs as a result of the collective actions and shared ownership by individuals, communities, the gambling industry and government, to achieve outcomes that are socially responsible and responsive to community concerns.

Star City is committed to responsible gambling. We don't want to see anyone lose more than they can afford. So we urge all customers to bet carefully. Set yourself a limit and stick to that limit. Never borrow money to gamble. Star City urges you to stick to these basic rules and gambling will remain an enjoyable activity.

Star City encourages anyone who thinks that they may have a gambling problem to call Gambling Help on 1800 858 858 or visit their website at www.gamblinghelp.nsw.gov.au. This service is available 24 hours per day / 7 days per week and provides a telephone counselling and referral service. Patrons can be referred to services providing expert advice in a range of community languages including Chinese and Vietnamese. In extreme cases, Star City will arrange for a counsellor to visit the complex to provide immediate assistance.

BetCare has been appointed by Star City to provide gambling counselling and assistance for customers. The service can be contacted on 1300 135 600. BetCare is located at Level 11, 60 Margaret St, Sydney, NSW.
  

 

 

Responsible Service of Alcohol

Star City is 100% committed to providing customers with a safe and secure entertainment environment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The responsible service of alcohol to customers is an integral part of this commitment.

Policies Regarding the Service of Alcohol

  • Star City reserves the right to refuse entry to people who are disorderly or are displaying signs of undue intoxication
  • The supply of alcohol is not permitted to underage, disorderly or unduly intoxicated customers
  • Underage, disorderly or unduly intoxicated customers are not permitted to consume alcohol whilst on the property
  • Entertainment programs encourage customers to have a good time, without overindulging in alcohol
